Andrew Green — Sat, 11/21/2009 - 15:42
A few items of news going into the winter.
First, we are moving. Within the next month or so we will be moving next door to 311 Nairn Ave. We have been temporarily located in 297 Nairn since the fire in our old building last year, and it is good to finally be getting into a permanent space. As for our old location, the building is being demolished and will be turned into additional parking for us. This means more equipment, and a better environment to train.

Hot on the heels of the news that Josh Barnett would not get licensed by the California State Athletic Commission due to a positive test for a banned substance, the entire event has been cancelled altogether.
“Finding an opponent for the number one ranked MMA heavy weight champion in such a short period of time was a huge endeavor and I’m thrilled at the amount of fighters willing to take on this challenge,” said Tom Atencio, vice president of Affliction Entertainment. “But in the end, we just didn’t have enough time to promote a new fight to our standards.”
